about this teacher

"Though I've practiced yoga for over a decade, what I experienced with Molly's teaching has led me to a profoundly different connection to my own body."

-M.S.

"Doing yoga with Molly is the most relaxing part of my week. I can drop deep inside myself and let the strains of the day fall away.

We move gently, slowly, deeply. Bit by bit, I feel my body reverting to its calm and peaceful state.

I tend to be an over-achiever, one who makes things happen. In Molly's class, though, all that drops away. She has seduced me into believing that great things can happen with little effort."

-Bernadette Murphy

Molly Hagan RYT

Certified to teach The Thinking Body - The Feeling MindŽ Created by Linda Lack PhD

Registered with the Yoga Alliance at the 500 hour level

Member of The International Association of Yoga Therapists

Like Many people, Molly came to Yoga because of a chronic injury. As early as age 27 she felt old and her body was shutting down. As someone who loved to move, dance and physically participate in life, this was devastating. Upon voicing her concerns, a counselor suggested Molly see Linda Lack PhD - a movement therapist and Yoga teacher.

In 1988 Molly began studying with Linda Lack. Linda's technique was beautiful, elegant and safe. By practicing The Thinking Body - The Feeling MindŽ, Molly's body began to heal and strengthen. She learned to have a dialogue between the mind and body, to differentiate between physical danger and mental anxiety. At times it was thrilling, at other times it was deeply nurturing.

Wanting to share this technique with others, Molly began training to be a teacher in 1997. In 1999, she started teaching. Molly continues to study with Linda Lack as The Thinking Body-The Feeling MindŽ is an expansive healing movement technique that continues to grow.

In 2009, Molly began studying with Larry Payne. Larry's user-friendly approach to yoga and user-friendly teaching style has opened up new breath & healing possibilities for Molly and her students. Like The Thinking Body - The Feeling MindŽ, Larry's Prime of Life YogaŽ stresses function over form. He encourages students to challenge themselves not strain themselves. Students should do what works for them. As Larry says, "You are the chairman of the board."

Molly is a registered 500 hour instructor and is currently training to become a Movement Therapist with Linda Lack and Yoga Therapist with Larry Payne.
